I'm going to post a review of The Iron Daughter either today or tomorrow (which will include the review for Winter's Passage as well). I'm going to see the Hunger Games movie again tonight with my boyfriend so I probably won't have time to do it today, but it should definitely be done by the end of the weekend.
But what I really wanted to talk about is that there is going to be both a Beautiful Creatures movie AND an Ender's Game movie, which will star Harrison Ford!!! Which everyone probably already knows, but I just found out so I wanted to talk about it. I love Harrison Ford more than you could possibly imagine. He is, and always will be my number one celebrity crush of all time. I really do love him. A fact my boyfriend hates haha. But, anyway I'm really excited. Especially since the 4th Beautiful Creatures book comes out in October: Beautiful Redemption. The cover is really pretty! I haven't read Ender's Game in a long long time. Guess I'll have to get on reading that one again!
I just started City of Bones. It was only $0.99 from Barnes & Noble on the nook so I went ahead and got it. I've heard really good things about the Mortal Instruments series so I guess we'll see how it is. I'll write a review when I get done. I'm really going to actually try writing a review for every book I finish. It's going to get harder once College starts up again, especially with the classes I'm taking. I won't be able to read much but I'll try to keep updating about books I'm interested in reading, and maybe reviewing old books I read along time ago or series or something along those lines.
I'm really glad I've gotten back into reading and blogging. I hadn't realized how much I missed it until I started reading The Iron King. I forgot how much I love getting wrapped up in a series and getting attached to characters in the book so much I wish they were real. I wouldn't mind having Puck as my best friend and Ash as my faerie prince ;) (just don't tell my boyfriend! haha)
I love when an author like Julie Kagawa can make you feel like you are truly there with the characters. It makes the reading more rewarding. I love the feeling that I can jump in with the characters and hang out with them. I would truly love to be able to do something like that. Hand out with a character in a book.
You know, that's a good question. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on that one! So here is your question, comment with your response!
If you could choose one character out of any of the books you've read, which character would you choose, and what would you do?
I think my answer right now would be Puck. Even though I'm 100% fully team Ash, he belongs to Meghan so that wouldn't be too much fun. But Puck would be a hoot to hang out with! We could go on a grand adventure and go hook up with Grimalkin and all them awesome people!
Well that's all for now. I haven't done a book vs. movie entry in awhile, so I'll do one of those later for the Hunger Games (I saw it at midnight on premier night but I don't entirely remember everything!)

Team Banners!
So I was trying to make my blog look spiffy and was looking for some team banners, and I realized, there weren't really that many good ones out there. If anyone finds a website directly related to team banners for blogs, PLEASE let me know. But, since I couldn't find any, I decided to make my own.
Now, this process if fairly easy, and cost free. I went to getpaint.net/ and downloaded their free photo editing software, then went and found some picture of my boys and added the words and, viola! You have yourself a team banner!
Here are the ones I've made so far (also seen on my sidebar, though those do not have the quotes because I have to make them so small the quote does not appear correctly) :

I've decided that I quite enjoy this. Once I get photoshop back uploaded on my laptop and my coolio fonts I had before on there (I had to get my hard drive replaced), I'm going to make more of these. And, I'm willing to make a few requests, if anyone has one! (except a Team Puck, Team Nash or Team Stefan button :P Just Kidding!) So leave a comment with the character you want to represent, the picture you want me to use (if you don't have one I can find one) and if you want a quote on the button, one of those too. I do request that the quote not be too long, because it is difficult to fit it on there, and then if I make it too small you can't read it anyway. I can make a big one, a small one, a medium one, I can make you an avatar for your profile picture or avatar on a messenger! I will either e-mail them to you and/or post them on my photobucket page: Five Fab Creations
And when you use them please leave credit back to my site so other people know where to get these awesome banners if they want one!

The Iron Fey Series - Julie Kagawa
So I FINALLY, after 5 days, finished the 4 novels and 2 novellas (so far) in the Iron Fey series. And let me just say, that they were amazing.
It's been a long time since I allowed myself to get involved in a new series. I have tried to either stick to the series I have already began, or single novels with no sequels, saving my sanity, and my bank account! But this series called to me. I had just finished reading Destined, the final book in Aprilynne Pike's Fey series, and I was really looking for more novels about Faeries because I truly am hooked on them right now, and I remembered that my friend had read at least the first one in high school and had really liked it. Plus the covers are just so beautiful, and I know they say "don't judge a book by it's cover" but it definitely came in to play!
I'm going to review this one as a whole, but sort of separately. I'll do a small blurb about each book in different blog posts, then post a final one, summarizing how I felt about the series as a whole, and my anticipation for both the novella ending this series coming up, and the new Iron Fey series from Ethan's perspective coming up as well. And as a warning, near the end of my reviews there will be spoilers for the book. So if you haven't read it yet be sure to stop when you see "SPOILER ALERT". I don't want to ruin the book for anyone and trust me when I say YOU do not want it ruined for you. It's worth the wait to read and find out what happens. I found that out the hard way :( I also recommend that if you haven't started the series or are in the middle DO NOT read the description for the next book before finishing the one you are reading. The descriptions for the next book WILL RUIN the book you are reading for you. Now if you're one of those people who don't care, then go ahead, but I'm one who likes to follow the story how it should be followed.
Now for the review!

Okay so first off, the cover of this book is gorgeous. I love the colors, I love the model they picked for Meghan, the twists of vines on the front, the font, everything. I love it. It really draws the readers to the book and catches your eye when walking by.
Now for the book itself. I have to say I was a little apprehensive in the beginning of the book. I was used to reading Aprilynne Pike's Wings Series, which only shows faeries as being actual faeries (not to mention the fact that they are plants). So it was a little bit of a change when Kagawa started noting all the creatures in Nevernever as faeries. I definitely was slow reading this starting out. I really wasn't sure that I liked it, and I was a little concerned that it wasn't going to turn out as well as I thought it would. But, true to my nature, I pushed through and continued to read, because I never stop in the middle of a book. I always finish no matter what. And how glad I was that I did. Once I got past the first few chapters I was immersed in the story and already beyond attached to the characters.
Okay, now for the SPOILER ALERT!
Can I just say that even at the end of the book I had already fallen deeply in love with Ash? I seem to always go for the dark, mysterious, brooding characters in the book. The ice prince, who's heart is cold as ice, yet warms as the human girl he never believed himself able to fall for steals it away. *Sigh* I'm such a sucker for romance. The journey through the Iron Kingdom may have been my favorite part of the entire series honestly. Watching Ash and Meghan grow closer and closer, while knowing all the while that their love is forbidden and that it can never be, made my heart soar. Dangerous, forbidden love, I believe, is one of the most yearned for things by young people. The secrecy, the passion, the romance. It's just too much. Oh and I love Grim. He cracks me up. "I am a cat." Like that explains everything! As for Meghan, I thought she stayed incredibly brave, though I was a little...how do I put this...apprehensive about how little apprehensiveness she had about going to Nevernever. It just seemed to me like she accepted it too quickly. All I can say is that I'm glad that, number 1, The Iron Daughter was already out when I started reading this, and number 2, that Kagawa wrote Winter's Passage. I Actually I'm glad the entire series is out (besides the Iron Prophecy.) But I am sad that Ash and Meghan and Puck's story is over. OH! I almost forgot about Puck! What can I say about Puck? I do love him. I think he is a great character and I love trying to figure out what he is thinking. I'm glad that Summer's Crossing was in his point of view, because I loved it. Meghan (mostly) only sees his goofy side, as he hides his emotions behind this, while in his point of view you get the whole Puck. And I really do feel bad for him that he didn't get Meghan at the end of the book, but, I'm sorry. I love Ash more.

UGH!
So. I've been obsessing over the Iron Fey series now for the past week. I'm on the Iron Knight and I just saw that another Novella is coming out this fall. I'm (according to my nook) less than 100 pages to go in the Iron Knight, and I was stupid enough to read the description of the next book, and totally just ruined this one for myself...I now know what happens. And I'm pretty mad. I've been dying to skip through the book to find out what's going to happen, but I've refrained, not wanting to spoil it for myself. I haven't fully lost the desire to read, but now I'm less eager getting to the end, now that I know what happens.
I'm so mad at myself. I should know better by now not to read the description of the next book before finishing the previous one. UGH!
Well. I'm gonna go because I want to finish reading this book now. I still want to know what happens.
And for my own sake I would like to say that I am, 100%, Team Ash!
